On 20th February 2019, Thorpe Park officially announced the closure of Loggers Leap, after many years of speculation as to whether the ride would return to the park line-up. I feel quite sad about this as Loggers was a firm favourite of mine and I have many childhood memories riding this with family and friends alike. Is this really the end of log flumes in the UK as we know it?
Well, you know it’s that last stretch of closed season when you start seeing an influx of theme park trips coming together within the community. Not gonna lie, I bloody love trawling through rcdb, coast2coaster trying to work out which parks are on my hit list to visit. Now that I have spent a good 2 years staying within the UK, it’s time for me to spread my wings and go travelling again!
If you are feeling the true closed season blues, and believe me I am certainly feeling it, now that the theme parks are shut for the winter, never fear as there are plenty of things you can do to keep yourself amused during this winter season.
I must say, 2018 seems to have flown by considering it feels like only yesterday it was the 2017 Halloween season. I am not complaining by any means as it is my absolute favourite time of year! This year was going to be a good one when Thorpe Park started announcing their new mazes and scare zones for 2018. I couldn’t wait to get started when I visited for the Press Night on Thursday 4th October.
Following on from my favourite water parks blog post, click here to read, I thought I would compile a list of water parks that are on my wish list to visit. There’s so many fantastic water parks all around the world, and since I love to travel, I’d love to go and explore these places! As I said in my previous water parks post, a water park can be a great addition to your holiday planning. It is the perfect way to break up your trip and enjoy a new adrenaline rush away from rollercoasters.
Apologies for the long delay on writing this!
On Saturday 28thApril, I was very kindly invited to the Media Event for Land of the Tiger/Tiger Rock at Chessington World of Adventures alongside Chessington Buzz – go give them a follow on social media, links will be below! Honestly… I was impressed.
